Arthur Miller is one of America’s most honored and prolific playwrights.  The author of such classics as Death Of A Salesman, A View From A Bridge, After The Fall, and The Crucible, Miller’s contribution to the stage sets him apart in the 20th century and beyond.

All My Sons, which brought him his first Broadway success and his first Tony Award, is set post World War II and tells the story of Joe Keller.  A shipment of faulty cylinders has left Joe’s factory, resulting in the deaths of twenty-one pilots.  Joe has always maintained his innocence in the matter while his business partner serves a long prison sentence but Joe’s guilt comes to light and the consequences are staggering for him, his wife and surviving son (the other, ironically, gone missing in the war).

As is typical of Arthur Miller, All My Sons takes the “American Dream” and turns it inside out, presenting a deeper and often darker view.  The play was recently revived on Broadway in an acclaimed production starring John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest.
